Visiting hours

We welcome visitors for the benefit of all our patients’ wellbeing.

We suggest that visitors attend during the core hours of 7am to 10pm.

Visiting arrangements can be negotiated according to patient/relative circumstances. Please see below for information on compassionate visiting.

We respectfully ask visitors are limited to two per patient.

Please ask the nurse in charge before bringing children to visit.

Please remember that you should not visit the hospital if you have symptoms of cold, flu or Covid-19, are a close contact of someone who is confirmed to have Covid-19, or if you have symptoms of diarrhoea and/or vomiting within 48 hours of your planned visit.

The wearing of face masks for staff, patients and visitors is no longer mandatory and there is no longer a requirement to wear masks unless by personal choice or it has been risk assessed as necessary. We would still recommend maintaining a distance from others out of courtesy, but there is no official social distancing required. Please avoid overcrowding.

Please be aware that you may be asked to leave the ward temporarily to ensure patients confidentiality, privacy and dignity are maintained or if a medical emergency occurs.

Please check with ward staff for further guidance on visiting.
